There’s a boredom in my life
That just doesn’t go away
With all the drugs,
The alcohol, the sex
The running, the traveling
Being with you, him, or her
There’s a boredom in my life
That just doesn’t go away
This boredom demands solitude
A pen, a sheet, and no distractions
This boredom demands all of me
All the rumbling and emotions
And if I’m fortunate enough
I create something
And then everything is fine again
The boredom in my life
It just goes away
And I enjoy the drugs
The alcohol, the sex
The running, the traveling
Being with you, him, or her
The boredom in my life just goes away
Until it’s back again…Stronger
And we repeat…
But, for how long?
